What counts as a user?
Billing is per seat. A seat is a distinct sender email address to which ATOM applies a signature during the cycle. A shared mailbox used through the service does not consume a seat.
The counter resets automatically every Monday at 4 a.m. (Eastern time): only addresses that send an email again are then counted. An administrator can also reset it from the console, at most once every 24 hours, and increase the number of seats at any time.
Monthly or annual
The per-user price is identical: $1 per month or $12 per year. What changes is how a change in the number of seats is billed.
- Monthly: added seats are billed from the next cycle, with no immediate charge. A reduction takes effect right away, with no refund for the period already paid.
- Annual: added seats are billed immediately, prorated for the time remaining until renewal. A reduction gives no refund: seats already paid for remain usable, and the reduced number applies at renewal.
You can switch from monthly to annual at any time from the console; the already-paid portion of the current month is credited. Billing is handled by Stripe, in advance.
Nonprofits and public sector
Nonprofits, municipalities, healthcare institutions and other public sector bodies pay CA$0.75 per user per month, plus tax, with the same features. This rate is granted on request: write to us at info@atomsolutions.ca.

Resellers and MSPs
A Microsoft 365 MSP or reseller manages its clients' signatures from a single account, at a preferred rate shared on request.
- Its own signatures are free.
- It receives a single invoice for the seats of all its clients.
- Its subscription must be started, with a card on file, before inviting a first client.
- An organization already subscribed directly to ATOM cannot be attached to a reseller.
- It sets freely the price it charges its clients.

The trial lasts 14 days, with every feature. The card is requested at sign-up, but nothing is charged during the trial. It is offered once per organization.
