Exclaimer can operate server-side, client-side ("Device Deployment"), or both. The server-side approach — the one that powers the richest marketing banners — means email is routed through the vendor's infrastructure to receive its signature. Exclaimer's Trust Center offers a Canada region, but that isn't the default configuration; unless it has been requested, those servers can be outside Canada, and the email content, often carrying personal information, then leaves the country.
